Who is behind hundred?
Nutrition Scientist and Product Developer, Valentina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology, and a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Milan.
Valentina has worked at the German Institute of Human Nutrition in Potsdam on the influence of a bad diet on the microbiome — focusing on liver health and diseases.
Valentina has also served as a Food Technologist in the Department of Quality and Security in Italy.
Nutrition Scientist and Operations Manager, Paulina holds a Master of Science from the Institute of Tropical Medicine and International Health of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
Paulina holds additional degrees from the Autonomous University of Mexico, La Salle University, The University of Vermont, and the University College London.
Paulina has served as a Future Entrepreneur in Digital Health with Hasso Plattner Stiftung, and was formerly a Health & Nutrition Advisor at Sodexo.
Why did you become a Nutrition Scientist?
Valentina: The human body has always fascinated me — especially how food is transformed into energy in our bodies. I immediately became passionate about anatomy and food biochemistry, so I started off as a Food Technologist, and then became a Nutritionist. I also spend lots of my free time exercising outdoors, and I’m currently studying to become a specialist in Sports Nutrition.
Paulina: I always knew that I wanted a career focused on helping others. Nutrition Science is perfect because every person has to eat — so you get the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives multiple times a day! Having proper nutrition is powerful because it can prevent disease, and dramatically improve overall quality of life.
What do you enjoy most about working at hundred?
Valentina: Being part of a dynamic team that improves people’s health through a winning combination of guided nutritional advice and high-quality ingredients.
Paulina: Watching people achieve their goals and integrating healthy habits into their lives. I also love being part of a team that harnesses cutting-edge technology to make health more accessible for all.
Do you have any unique approaches you take as a Nutrition Scientist?
Paulina: Instead of following strict diets, I like to educate my clients on how to eat healthy for their individual needs. Nutrition is not a one-size-fits-all science, and demands a tailored approach. It’s so incredible to see my clients learn a habit that is going to stick with them for the rest of their lives, instead of feeling food deprived and yo-yo dieting.

Which vitamins do you take daily?
